Happiness is a feeling that wash over us and makes us feel good that we can't help but smile. Being happy is a state of being wherein we feel contented, satisfied and overwhelmed. And this is exactly how I felt when I happened to came over and visited Happy Crepes. 

The barbie pink doll house interior of the shop brought a warm, sweet ambiance that reminded me of my room back home. There's this "home sweet home" feeling whenever I get to enter their shop.

Crepe originally came from France, it is a very thin pastry made from wheat flour served with variety of fillings. In preparing a crepe it's like cooking a pancake but the difference is that the liquid batter is being poured onto a flat circular hot plate and is tilted using an offset spatula. You can play around with various sweet stuffing like melted chocolate, fresh fruits, whipped cream, fruit spreads and many more depending on what you want.

The main reason why the owner opened up a crepe pastry shop of all other dessert is her love for crepes. Whenever she's in Manila or out of the country, specifically Japan, she always look for crepes and she was inspired by the thought of putting up a grab-and-go dessert shop. She finds it cute that people just buy their food and walks out of the shop onto the busy street. And so she came up with the idea of bringing something new to Bacolod.

What's the best thing here in Happy Crepes is they have a Make Your Own Crepe, where you get to be creative. You get to choose whatever you want from the toppings down to the spread, drizzle and ice cream and you have the option to have it plated or in cone.

From the classics, they have hazelnut, nutella deluxe and ice cream special and for their bestseller they have Mango Tango made of mango, cream, cornflakes, mango ice cream and caramel sauce.

 And what's good is they are not limited to crepes alone because aside from crepes they also serve other desserts like lava cups, made of warm brownie and an ice cream on top sprinkled with sweet toppings of your choice and so far, this had become my favorite!

And yes, Happy Crepes is the name but for the passion and love for sweets they keep on exploring sweet treats that one can't find in Bacolod.  

And because of high demand, a loyalty card was issued right after their first month of opening! They created a place that speaks for itself and ages children to adult will definitely enjoy eating this sweet mouthwatering dessert.
